    Building & BaLA Initiatives

BaLA is a way to holistically plan and utilize school infrastructure. It includes the ideas of activity-based learning, child-friendliness and inclusive education for children with special needs (CWSN). Basically, it is believed that school architecture can be a resource for teaching-learning processes.
Since buildings are a school’s most expensive physical assets, efforts should be made to extract maximum educational value from them. Thus, BALA is all about exploring the uniqueness of three-dimensional space as a child-friendly learning resource for children.
The building elements of common concrete shapes are innovatively modified to engage children creatively. Different elements of BALA can be located in indoor and outdoor spaces such as classrooms, corridors and backyards to create a variety of learning situations throughout the school. The built structure of a school can also provide shelter during educational activities. BALA is being implemented with full sincerity in our school.
